The diocese intends to file a Chapter 11 petition with the United States Bankruptcy Court in March 2024 as a way to avoid insolvency from the more than 250 claims against it.
The Sacramento, California, diocese joins dozens of other major dioceses around the world who have or will soon file bankruptcy to evade the full legal consequences of their actions in aiding and abetting the wholesale abuse of children.
The diocese's Bishop Jaime Soto claims that Chapter 11 is "the only respectful, transparent, and fair way to address the substantial number of claims by those who have been abused by clergy and other members of the Church."
Soto also stated, "I remain steadfast in my belief that I must continue to atone for the horrible sin of clergy sexual abuse. The sickening evil that was perpetrated upon innocent children – and the failure of Church leadership to address it appropriately – has caused unfathomable pain that endures. It is these sins that brought us to this place. Pray for the healing of victim-survivors. The pain inflicted on them lasts a lifetime, and so our atonement must be a lifetime commitment."
What Soto didn't recognize is that the sickening evil is a manifestation of Roman Catholicism and has been perpetuated by the Vatican since the church was founded by the Roman government as a way to hijack the authentic Christianity it had tried and failed to destroy with horrific violence. Catholic leadership has always been evil and while individual dioceses and parishes may have some good people in them who do their best to serve others, they are also serving evil by remaining Catholic.
There can be no atonement for the more than 1,700 years of crimes against humanity perpetrated by the Catholic church, and all Catholics must be held accountable for the abuse they have supported. The most effective thing that Jaime Soto could do is leave the vile organization and get a real life, instead of trying to sustain and whitewash an institution of evil.
The Catholic church hasn't really changed much in light of the fact that it has abused millions of children around the world. Because it can no longer get away with sexually abusing children in secret, it is now openly abusing children by promoting gender dysphoria and rabid homosexuality. It does substantial harm to children by telling girls that they are actually boys and boys that they are girls and that it is OK for them to have sex with each other. By undermining the core identify of children, it makes them easier prey for sexual predators and tyrannical governments. The church also supported the COVID psychological and biological war waged upon children. It promoted lockdowns, masking and injection with the mRNA bio-weapon posing as a vaccine knowing that it would cause severe harm to children, including death.
Individuals all have a responsibility to confront Catholics for their support of evil. It is time for zero tolerance for all institutions that harm children.
