The official schedule for the UNSC shows no meetings to discuss Israel's genocide of Palestinians but does have a meeting to address Middle East issues on December 19. Obviously, saving lives is not a high priority for the members of the UNSC. Why?
Three of the five permanent members are subservient to Israel and those include the U.S., UK and France. The other two, China and Russia, both benefit from allowing the genocide to continue because it is weakening Israel and the three permanent members. Both would like to see Israel, U.S. and UK lose their power. China wants to dominate the globe and it can't do that with the U.S. in the way. Russia wants security from the NATO menace and for its oligarchs to grow ever richer and the U.S. greatly restricts that.
The temporary members have limited power and no real influence over the permanent members. They can vote to support a ceasefire in Gaza but they can't enforce it on their own.
The only way to enforce a ceasefire or defend a safe zone would be if a country or group of countries with sufficient military power were to stand up to Israel. If Russia and China are not willing to do so then Saudi Arabia and Iran along with other Islamic and Arab countries could, but they won't as long as the U.S. is supporting Israel.
The temporary members of the Security Council includes Albania, Brazil, Ecuador, Gabon, Ghana, Japan, Malta, Mozambique, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates. Half of them leave at the end of 2023 and will be replaced by new temporary members who will also be mostly powerless. The Security Council is design to create insecurity and keep the hegemons in power.
China could simply admit Palestine as a member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and then establish a safe zone in South Gaza and defend it. But China won't, at least not yet.
BRICS could convene an emergency virtual meeting and pass a new security resolution that shifts it from an economic club to a new collective military power to replace the broken UN.
If the U.S. stopped supporting Israel then the genocide could probably end because Israel's military is not strong enough to defeat Hamas and Hezbollah without American support. The two organizations have the support of hundreds of millions of Muslims and a number of wealthy Islamic states. It is not likely that another strong military power would step in to replace the U.S. and if the U.S. backed out then the UK and France would probably end their support as well.
Dementia-ridden war criminal Joe Biden is the one person who is keeping the genocide going. Since he is just a mind-controlled puppet, it is his handlers who are also responsible. Since many of them are also mind controlled puppets, it is the oligarchs who control them that are ultimately responsible, just as they are responsible for manufacturing most conflict around the world.
The largest investor in the Euro-American war industry is Blackrock. The CEO of Blackrock is the devout Jew Larry Fink, who is loyal to Zionist Israel. Blackrock leverages not just the capital of the world's evil billionaires but also countless pension funds and sovereign wealth funds. Those funds give their money to Blackrock to invest because they believe that it will generate a solid return for them. Waging war is highly profitable due to its opaque nature and the extreme corruption that the lack of transparency and accountable supports.
Overthrowing the capitalist Jewish dominated system could make the world a better place but the totalitarian regime that China would impose is not much better, but the reality is that China can't manage its own affairs, much less run the world. Russia doesn't really want to rule the world and would probably be happy to just be left alone to loot its oil wealth. So, ending predatory capitalism is probably still the best thing for humanity and for that to happen it just needs to be allowed to defeat itself and allowing the genocide of Palestinians for awhile longer will further weaken both Israel and the U.S. and the entire predatory capitalist system.
Humanity will owe the surviving Palestinians an eternal debt of gratitude and vast amounts of assistance.
The big question is if they can ever forgive us for creating the conditions for genocide in the first place.
