Amentum Wins Seat on $5 Billion U.S. Army Puerto Rico Power System Stabilization Contract

Several storms and an earthquake in recent years have left Puerto Rico’s power grid in delicate condition.

Task order work includes providing temporary power augmentation, such as land-based generating units, temporary transformers, control cabling, and installation of equipment.

Work will also include operation of equipment, including maintenance, fuel, and coordination with applicable authorities and connections to their equipment. Task orders may also include repairing and replacing components of existing transmission and distribution facilities.

The multiple-award task order contract (MATOC) will allow USACE to rapidly respond to emergency power generation and repair requirements from FEMA and other federal partners.

The MATOC, an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract awarded to multiple firms following a formal selection process, provides for an indefinite quantity of services to be furnished during a fixed period of time.

Task orders under this contract will be competed with a maximum combined capacity of $5 billion and have a five-year ordering period.
